StaceyPowers
Do you have favorite and least favorite types of video game missions? I think escort missions are usually my least favorites. Not sure about my favorites though.
Lens
The escort missions can be so frustrating, I'm with you on that, but my least favorite missions are probably the fetch quests. On the other hand, I so much love the missions that offer a sense of freedom and creativity, like the open-world quests. Shortie
I have to agree with you on escort missions, they are always the kind of missions I find frustrating whenever I play them. A lot of the time these missions you have to play through and I am always so relieved when I complete them, especially if they take me a while. killamch89
Escort missions are definitely my least favorite to do. Another one is having to follow an NPC around - why is it that they choose to run/move so slowly? The part that I hate is when the get stuck on something along the way. You don't really want to get me started on those. Escort missions can be so frustrating. It seems I get it now, they want to make sure you don't rush through the story or miss important details. Kennysplash
Oh I so much love rescue missions. Situations where I get to save a character or a group of people from captivity or danger. The feeling when I succeed is sublime.
Ravenfreak
I hate escort missions! I remember getting so frustrated at the escort mission in Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage where you have to escort the alchemist in Fractured Hills to free Hunter. I almost broke a controller once as a kid since I kept messing up over and over again. As for my favorite mission type, I like treasure hunting ones. For example I love the mission in Spyro 2 where you need to collect a few items for the professor in order to collect all the orbs in the level. I can't recall the name of the level though lol. Anders
One of my least favorites are probably forced stealth missions in games where stealth is otherwise optional. I don't mind stealth in games where the whole game is based around it, like Splinter Cell for example, but in games where I have the option to run and gun, I never go for stealth. Forced stealth missions can be so frustrating. It's more like you're being forced to play a different kind of game for a segment. That's crazy 🤣. Scorpion
Escort missions can be frustrating, I agree. My favorite types of missions are usually open-world exploration or heist missions.

But sometimes it's just a transitional phase with barely any dialogue until the NPC reaches their destination and this NPC is moving very slowly to get to said destination. You are so right but one thing is sure about the Heist missions, it often requires creativity. I like to encounter tough challenges in games. That's what it offers me.
