Cloud Imperium Games recently sent out an email to their staff requiring their employees to work 7 days of work a week to meet a deadline before the Citizencon event happening October 19th. The email stated that staff needed to double down the next 18 days in order get a patch done including a showcase for a demo. I get having to work overtime, but to be pushed to work 7 days a week until your game is done seems like crunch to me. They should learn to schedule their work time better so that crunch isn't needed. An event planned out like this, shouldn't require a couple weeks of crunch to meet a deadline.
