Kane99
Oh boy, Ubisoft is not having a good year. From their failing sales, layoffs and more. This time it's alleged that Ubisoft has been sharing personal data of Ubisoft users to Facebook Meta. This of course was not disclosed to users I guess and so the reasoning for this lawsuit. Two gamers who were subscribed to Ubisoft+ brought the lawsuit forward because they had no idea their info was being shared after a purchase. What happened was, they downloaded one game while they were logged into Facebook, and according to them, it shared their personal info to Meta through Pixel's tracking feature. So yeah, not a good look by Ubisoft. But it makes you wonder how much other info is shared between companies like this. killamch89
Yeah, it’s definitely concerning how companies handle user data. Transparency is key, and if Ubisoft is sharing information without users’ consent, they really need to face the consequences. It makes you wonder how many other companies are doing the same thing behind the scenes.
