Nintendo just released a $100 alarm clock called Alarmo

This is actually kind of cool, Nintendo is releasing a $100 alarm clock called Alarmo that will release in early 2025. But, if you're a Nintendo Switch Online user in the US and Canada, you can purchase it right now on the Nintendo Shop. But it'll probably go fast, it's already sold out in Japan to where they have to do a lottery to pick the next set of buyers.

Is this something you plan to buy? It reminds me of when they released the new Game and watch handhelds recently, the ones that worked like a clock too. This is hands down way cooler imo. What do you think about it?

If Nintendo wants to release an alarm clock, the least they could do is have it shaped like some of theirs. Shape it like a magic mushroom, or Marios hat. Hell, decapitate Mario and shape like his head.

Personally, $100 for an alarm clock seems steep to me, even if it’s from Nintendo. What features do you think justify the price?

Nothing justifies a price like that when you can pick up one for $5 from Walmart. But the name brand on it is what will let it sell out even though it only has $10 worth of parts in it.

But this is Nintendo we’re talking about. Despite having been here for 150 years, they’re still greedy as hell.

Not going to lie, the clock does look good but I was expecting to see it shaped like a Nintendo character of some kind, I feel that they missed an opportunity there but other than that, the clock does look good. 

I feel the price would have been more justified if they made more of an effort.
