What If Sega Hadn't Exited the Console Market?

Recommended Posts

Imagine a world where Sega never left the console scene. How do you think they would have evolved? Would we have seen more innovative hardware, or perhaps a continuation of beloved franchises like Sonic and Shenmue? What role do you think they would play against competitors like Sony and Microsoft today?

It is a shame that Sega did not stay in the console game. I loved Sega and their consoles as a kid growing up. I am always saying that if Sega had stayed in the console game, we would more than likely have ground breaking hardware now and I can only imagine the games they would have released for the newer consoles had they stayed in the game.

To me, the Dreamcast was a decent competitor to the PS2 and XBox at the time. And it had titles like Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure 2.
