killamch89
When you're reading, do you find yourself thinking about how the story, characters, or dialogue could be improved? Is it a regular thing, or does it only happen when a book really disappoints you?
The Blackangel
I don’t care what the book is. If it had been written by Poe, it would be leagues better.

Allan Poe is one of the best authors of all time for sure. My favorite books by him are The Raven and The Masque Of Red Death. What's yours? The Blackangel
The Raven is a poem, not a book. The Masque Of Red Death is a short story. The only actual novel he wrote is The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket. Everything else was short stories and poems. I can only think of one exception, as it was a small novella. That would obviously be The Fall Of The House Of Usher. As for my personal favorite poem (aside from The Raven) is easily The Bells. Like the vast majority of his works, it’s about the descent into madness. My favorite short story is, again, an easy choice. It’s The Cask Of Amontillado. Easily one of his best. My bad - What I meant to say is I got in a book of poems named The "Raven and other Poems" from Barnes and Noble and another one with some of his other works called "Edgar Allan Poe's Tales of Mystery and Madness" from Amazon with The Masque Of Red Death featured in it.
