Elizabeth S.
I guess I went a little overboard with mine and it's already considered old. But I do appreciate you taking time and showing me. I would only change the HDD to a SSD and get a nice gaming keyboard and mouse on top of that. Also double the RAM for sure. I also wanted a Bluray player and a nice monitor. I only built mine though so don't have much experience. Take care!
Robbie626
PC gaming is still popular and just because it is not as popular as Console does not mean it is not popular. I just got into PC gaming so the market is definitely growing. 🙂
Jayson
I don't know much about it. But I'm guessing, as at least one has noted, that PC gaming is not less popular. In my opinion consoles and PC's are pretty much becoming more and more indistinguishable nowadays anyways so the whole question of consoles vs PC is becoming more and more ridiculous to even ask. Exactly how much PC gaming is done via keyboard and mouse vs a controller? It seems like everyone would use a controller. I mean, I used a controller the last time I played a PC game, other than a casino/chess one. Alyxx

All of that is possible now. So yeah, the entire question of why PC is less popular to me is strange.
Empire
PC gaming is now more popular than it has ever been in the past. However, PC gaming is dominated by online gaming. The kinds of PC games that become blockbusters are online games, e.g. PUBG, WOW, CrossFire, Dungeon Fighter, LOL, etc. And online games such as these aren't known for having AAA production values. AAA gaming is a niche within the wider PC gaming industry.

DylanC
Pretty sure PC is the *most* popular gaming machine globally, especially when you take into account developing countries and huge countries like China.
o-o
Is it really? I highly doubt it.
Alexander.
I don't think console gaming is any better than PC Gaming. From personal experience and from research, this article sums all the points up to how and why PC Gaming is still popular. On the other hand, One reason you could argue that console gaming is more comfortable and sociable in todays society is by grabbing your controllers with your mates and lounging around on the sofa and compared PC, crowding round 1 gaming PC isn't that accessible
Joshua Farrell
I think the main issues with why PC games are not as popular in groups, are because of a few main issues, which are cost, available space needed for lan, and weight. Not many people are willing to play on lan with their computers, and honestly, the internet can be flaky based on the area where the people may live. I think more PC games should offer local "couch" multiplayer.
Joshua Farrell
Should be easy enough with laptops, touchpads, and any computers that the people actually own game extensions that allow wireless controller access.
UleTheVee
I'm wondering why nobody is showing anyone this. Seriously, it literally destroys any argument that the "Console Peasants" (No Offense) has. But what about Japan?" Here's a list of complaints about the Console gaming market (which has become way too censor-happy, especially on PS4) Not only that, but in 2017, the Console gaming market in Japan shrank to nearly one-third of its size compared to 10 years ago. And no, Black Ops 4 didn't bring any interest to that. The two dominating powers in the gaming market in Japan are mobile and PCs while consoles are being seen as luxurious and unnecessary. I'll end this "Rant" with this. To all the people who still think consoles are more popular than PC or that PC will never beat Consoles. Why do you think Sony moved the PlayStation Headquarters from Japan to North America exclusively? Alyxx
Alyxx
A lot of good points there. I still remain by my question "wait, PC isn't popular?"

Anyway, I knew PC were popular - but I didn't know that PlayStation was the only console to remotely challenge it!
