How Do You Stay Safe Online?

Recommended Posts

With all the risks of cyber threats, privacy breaches, and scams, I'm curious—what steps do you take to stay safe while browsing the internet? Do you use a VPN, enable two-factor authentication, or take other precautions like password managers or avoiding suspicious links? Any tips for staying secure on social media too?

I enable two factor authentication on a lot of sites that I’m on. I also avoid clicking suspicious links.

Same. In addition to that, I have a password manager and use its password creation feature to create unique and extremely long passwords for each account I have.

I also use this method. It’s extremely important to not use the same password anywhere.

I agree. Personally, I use Bitwarden because it's open source and has been audited by third party security firms annually and is proven to be extremely secure. Plus, its annual fee of just $10 is an absolute steal for what you're getting.

These are the two ways that I work on staying safe online and both methods have been super helpful for me. I don't bother much about getting hacked as I work on staying safe online.
