The Blackangel
What games have you played that was released on multiple platforms, but was completely different in every way from its partner on other platforms. The one that immediately springs to mind for me is Beavis & Butthead. When they were released they came out on both SNES and Sega, and they came out at the same time. But neither of the games had much of anything in common with its supposed “doppelgänger “.
killamch89
Oh, I totally get what you’re saying. Beavis & Butthead is a perfect example of that. Another one that immediately comes to mind for me is Aladdin. The SNES and Sega Genesis versions were released around the same time, but the two games had almost nothing in common! SNES had a smoother platforming focus, while the Sega version let you use a sword.
The Blackangel
While I can’t say that I’ve played it, it’s my understanding that The Lion King was guilty as well. Actually from what I’ve seen, almost all Disney games from that era were like this. Same name. Different game.

Scorpion
Great example with Beavis & Butthead! Another one is Mortal Kombat; the differences between SNES and Genesis versions were striking!

Especially the early to mid 90s.
The Blackangel
The biggest difference I remember about Mortal Kombat was that in Sega blood would fly while on the SNES you only got what I assume was sweat.
