How Do You Handle Seeing Your Favorite Team Lose?

Recommended Posts

It’s tough when your favorite team takes a loss, but how do you cope with the disappointment? Do you have any rituals or ways to distract yourself after a tough game? Do you stay hopeful and look forward to the next one, or is it hard to shake off the frustration?

I’m bummed, but I’m right there with them. I’ll never abandon them. Opinion wise, they’re the greatest team in the entire NHL. We hold the longest streak for making the playoffs, which was 25 seasons. But since we lost Lidstrom and Datsyuk to retirement, and Zetterburg to injury, we haven’t made the playoffs in 13 seasons.

Does anyone know how hard it is to be a fan of a team that sucks?

Dallas Cowboys or Detroit Lions fans could tell you.

I handle it by getting used to it. It recently happened with my team Manchester City as we were on a losing stream like never before. In more than 13 matches, we didn't win and lost about 7 times in a row.

The loss of form by Manchester City was a long time coming. I was even surprised to see some of the fans turn against the player in what was not supposed to be at all.
