killamch89
Do you have a set of habits that help you wind down, or any rituals that make sleep easier? Maybe you read, meditate, or avoid screens? I'd love to hear what works for you and if you've noticed it improves your sleep quality.
The Blackangel
We watch TV to go to sleep. Both of us are so used to having something playing since before we met (which is more than 20 years), that neither of us can go to sleep in silence. I need the distraction because otherwise my mind runs and mile a minute and I absolutely cannot get to sleep. Another that I have is to play a couple games of Sudoku. It helps relax my mind. I’ve found a combination of drinking some tea, reading and winding down with some light stretching really helps me relax before bed. I also try to keep my phone on 'Do Not Disturb' to avoid getting pulled into social media or messages. Honestly, since starting this routine, I’ve noticed I fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more refreshed.
