What’s a genre Nintendo hasn’t explored but should?

Recommended Posts

Nintendo has created iconic games across multiple genres, but are there any untapped genres they should explore? Maybe a gritty survival horror, a deep strategy RPG, or a massive open-world adventure? Or do you think Nintendo should stick to its strengths with family-friendly content?

They haven't delved into anything historically accurate. The closest they have come is getting a port of RDR1. That's only because it is fairly reminiscent of the wild west, which wasn't quite as wild as people like to believe. But a lot of it was right on the money.

Sure they have touched on the occasional game that has a bit of history in it. But those games are few and far between.

That's a good call. And with games like those, they don't have to be ultra bloody or violent. Age of Empires and Civilization franchises are proof of that.
