While I like the idea of automation, I’ve found that some devices are more of a hassle than they’re worth. For example, my smart thermostat doesn’t always recognize when I’m home. Plus, there’s always a nagging concern about privacy and data security and that's why I haven't gotten something like the Amazon Echo yet.
