killamch89
Do you enjoy the straightforward, guided experience of linear storylines, where the narrative is more controlled and focused? Or do you prefer branching storylines that offer different choices and paths, allowing for more replayability and a sense of personal impact on the story? I love both in different contexts, but I’d like to hear what others think. What makes one better than the other for you?
Scorpion
I'm a fan of hybrid experiences, where a strong narrative is balanced with meaningful choices, allowing for a sense of agency without sacrificing cohesion.
killamch89
Personally, I prefer branching storylines because they give me a sense of ownership over the story. Games like Mass Effect or The Witcher 3 make me feel like my choices matter, which keeps me invested. While linear stories can be great, I find that having multiple paths adds depth and makes me want to revisit the game to see how different decisions play out. Replayability is a big factor for me
