A well known data miner known as Pavel Djundik is the one who unearthed this info. The same man is the creator and owner of SteamDB, so he is familiar with Steam it seems. It's being said the codename for the new steam controller is "ibex" while the codename for the new VR controller is just "roy". Check the link above for images of the mock-up designs.
