killamch89
I’ve been watching a few films lately where the lines between hero and villain are really blurred, or even non-existent. Some are open-ended, where everyone has their own flaws and motivations. Others lean into moral ambiguity. How do you feel about movies like this? Do you enjoy the complexity, or do you prefer more traditional storytelling with clear good guys and bad guys?
Knight Plug
I find them suspenseful, because it keeps your interest. I especially like movies where someone is, for example, driving along a highway, being pursued by a crazy individual or group. Ones like Joy Ride and The Hitcher are great. Another one is Road Games with Jamie Lee Curtis. Or cannibal movies such as Wrong Turn. killamch89

They feel more reflective of real life, where people aren’t just good or bad. Characters with flaws and layered motivations tend to be more relatable and engaging to me.
