DC Posted December 1 Share Posted December 1 I found an easy way to save extra money doing holiday shopping, and figured others here might also find it useful. It’s a browser extension for Chrome called Cleo. You install it, and when you are checking out at an online store, it alerts you in your cart if there are any discounted gift cards available for that store. If there are, you can buy one, and use it to pay for your purchase. That means you are getting whatever you are purchasing at that store at a discount. So far, I am seeing discounts ranging from 10% up to 20%, for stores like: Wayfair Reformation J. Crew Abercrombie & Fitch Free People Walmart GAP Sephora Ulta Beauty It seems to be mostly clothing stores, but also housewares, makeup, and sometimes big department stores like Walmart, which means theoretically it can be used to save on electronics and games too. I should mention it also isn’t exclusively for holiday shopping. You can use it year-round. Has anyone else used Cleo? How much has it saved you? I’ve saved around 10-15% on some of my purchases from places like Wayfair and Walmart. The process is pretty seamless, and I like that it works for year-round shopping too. The only downside I’ve noticed is that it doesn’t always have discounts available for every store I shop at, but when it does, it’s a solid deal. I finally started using it about a few months back, and I wish I started utilizing it sooner, because it's been great for saving some money when shopping online. It’s super easy to install and use, and I’ve saved a good amount of money on several purchases. I’ve gotten discounts on gift cards for stores like Sephora, GAP, and even Walmart. I've been utilizing Cleo ever since I got into it, and I don't think I'll ever stop or look back. It's helped me a lot since using it, and I know it's going to be useful for holiday shopping next.
