For instance, RPGs could incorporate AI-generated branching narratives that adapt dynamically to player actions, creating truly unique playthroughs. FPS games could explore new forms of player interaction, like deeper emotional choices tied to combat scenarios. Genres might feel 'set,' but creativity keeps pushing the boundaries. Another reason why it feels so stale is because a lot of developers are using the same formula when developing their games. They need to take some risks and try something different.
