Have your car ever let you down on the road?

Recommended Posts

From my experience of driving a car for more than 15 years, no matter how careful and often you maintain your car, it's not going to stop it from breaking down on you one day on the road. My car's brake pad left me stranded the last time I was on a long journey.

Have your car ever let you down on the road?

I've had a couple of difficult experiences with my car in the past where it developed faults at places where I wouldn't want to stay at all. Figuring out how to make it out of that place was difficult, but I was always lucky to get mechanics that help to repair my car.

Usually I always know some mechanics that are close to my destination or I have a good relationship with some tow operators so that I can call on them at any point.

A car hasn’t let me down on the road yet. I’ve recently had a motorcycle where a tyre had a puncture and this caused me to lose balance but didn’t result in any major injuries due to the speed I was travelling at fortunately!

The only mishap I ever suffered on a motorcycle is  getting hit off one and I'd have suffered more serious injuries if I didn't have good enough reflexes. I was lucky to only suffer a sprained knee.

I drive a 1987 Chevy Camaro Iroc-Z, and she’s a cold bitch. She’s gotten her kicks from needing to be jumped literally every damn time I turn the engine off, which then required a jump. Even if I stopped for gas or something to drink. It got to the point that I took 2 sets of keys. For example, I stopped for a drink I would take one set un with me, and leave the car running with the doors locked. I recently bought a jump box so I can give myself a jump when this shit happens.
