Kane99
I was huge into the first couple Jak & Daxter games, and am sad to see that Sony hasn't really done anything with franchise since. I hear there are some classic Sony IPs featured in AstroBot and I hear there is a nod to Jak & Daxter. I haven't played it myself, but I can only imagine what the nod was. Anyway, it made me think of a new Jak & Daxter game. I would love to see them revive the game. I know Naughty Dog were the original developers, but I don't think they would be involved if a new game was produced. But I would just love to see a revival or even a continuation of the series. We got Ratchet and Clank pretty much each generation since, why no Jak and Daxter love?
killamch89
Totally agree with you! Jak & Daxter holds such a special place in gaming history, and it’s a shame the series has been dormant for so long. With the success of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, I feel like there’s definitely room for a Jak & Daxter revival. Even if Naughty Dog isn’t involved, another studio could bring a fresh take while staying true to the original. AstroBot’s nods to classic Sony IPs give me hope we might see something someday. Scorpion
I completely agree! Jak & Daxter deserves a comeback, especially with nostalgic fans. A revival would be amazing fingers crossed!
Anders
I honestly hadn't though about it, but I absolutely agree. Basically all other Sony mascots have had either remakes or brand new games over the last decade, except for Jak & Daxter. I remember when my older brother moved out, he took his PS2 with him, so I saved up and got my own PS2 slim with a copy of Jak 3. Playing that game on my own PS2 alone in my room for the first time is a great memory.
