Elements/mechanics from earlier installments in series you wish they’d bring back?

Are there any elements or mechanics that were present in earlier games in series that were later removed, that you wish would come back in future installments?

I’d love to see the job system from older Final Fantasy games, like in Final Fantasy V. Customizing party members with different roles and abilities was so satisfying. It’s always great when games bring back deeper systems like that.

Definitely! I miss the intricate level designs from earlier games. They added depth and challenge that recent installments seem to lack.
