StaceyPowers
Has anybody else become frustrated with game reviews and comments lately? I find myself actively avoiding them, because so many seem to me to be motivated by politics now. I don’t feel discussions about games need to be politics-free, but I suspect a lot of reviews and comments nowadays are written by bots, or are similarly artificial in some way. That gets fatiguing to wade through.
killamch89
I’ve noticed that too. Often times, it feels like modern reviews focus more on external factors than the actual gameplay or mechanics of a title.
Scorpion
I completely relate! It’s exhausting to sift through politicized reviews. Genuine discussions about games should prevail over artificial or biased commentary.
The Blackangel
I quit reading reviews long ago. Unless it’s an unbiased description of the game, I find them useless. Just because one review is raving about it and the other is ranting about it shouldn’t affect anyone who may love it or hate it. There’s plenty of games that the whole world hates, but I love said game. There’s games that the whole world loves but I despise. My game reviews are coming from my personal experience with the game.
