killamch89
With the rise of downloadable content (DLC), many games are launching with missing features or unfinished content, only for players to be asked to purchase additional DLC to "complete" the experience. Is it ethical for developers and publishers to release games in this state, knowing that they will fix or expand upon them through paid content? Or should all core features and content be included at launch, with DLC reserved for optional extras?
Scorpion
Developers should prioritize full, feature-rich games at launch, not nickel-and-diming players with vital content behind paid DLC, that's just unfair.
killamch89
Games should be released as complete products, with DLC used for additional optional experiences. Anything less risks undermining trust in the industry. If developers want long-term player support, they need to prioritize delivering full value at launch.
