killamch89
Colonizing other planets seems like an exciting future prospect, but there are significant challenges. From the technological hurdles of long-duration space travel and life support systems to the psychological effects on humans in isolated environments, the barriers are immense. There's also the issue of sustaining life with limited resources, dealing with hostile planetary conditions, and addressing potential ethical concerns. What do you think are the most pressing challenges we need to overcome before becoming a multi-planetary species?
The Blackangel
In this solar system, if you don’t count Mars, our options are limited to moons. There are several of both Jupiter and Saturn’s moons that astronomers think may be able to harbor and sustain life. But considering their distance from the sun, there would have to be extreme colonization measures taken prior to trying. Decades, possibly centuries of research and development in equipment is what it would take before we could even think of putting anything in motion.
