killamch89
With microtransactions, loot boxes, and other controversial monetization practices becoming increasingly prevalent, many players feel that gaming companies are exploiting consumers. Do you think there should be more government regulation to ensure fair practices and transparency in the industry? Or should the gaming community handle these issues through consumer awareness and choice?
Knight Barida
The government getting involved with strict rules that protect gamers would be fantastic. It is more like sending a signal to game developers that the era of creating trash games is now over.

However, we're getting to the point where government intervention will definitely be needed.
Scorpion
I believe both regulation and consumer awareness are vital. Government oversight can ensure fairness, while informed consumers can drive better industry practices.
The Blackangel
The government interfering in gaming would be a disaster waiting to happen. They would start banning everything that made them feel icky. The American government would remove everything game they would refer to as “woke” which is fucking bullshit. The only games left on the American market would be be games to force xtianity down everyone’s throats. We have the rating system for a reason. Government intrusion would destroy the gaming industry. If the gaming industry loses the American market, that’s it. The entire market would crumble completely, and everything since 1983 would have been wasted effort.
