Do you prefer indie games with small or large development teams?

When it comes to indie games, do you prefer titles made by smaller teams or ones with larger indie studios behind them? Small teams can often bring a unique, personal touch with more creative freedom, while larger teams might deliver a more polished and expansive experience. What's your take on this? Does the size of the development team affect your enjoyment or expectations of an indie game?

The first thing that I look at is how awesome or awful the game is, whether the community is large or quite small becomes a secondary consideration. However, I would want to go with a game, all things being equal, developed by a smaller team because they will be easier to contact should I have any challenges.

I appreciate both approaches, but I lean toward smaller teams because they often deliver highly personal, experimental experiences that feel unique. Games like Disco Elysium really showcase the potential of smaller teams to create something deeply resonant.
