Absolutely! Nintendo's isolationist approach is increasingly out of step with modern gaming. Games like Fortnite and Minecraft have proven cross-platform play works technically and commercially. Nintendo's family-friendly focus could actually benefit from expanded communities while maintaining their unique software advantage.

I am all for Nintendo supporting more cross-platform play with other consoles, I know they have done it with some games and it has opened up the opportunity for so many to be able to play certain multiplayer games with their friends despite the console they are on. 

Cross-platform play I feel is the future for gaming so I hope Nintendo consider supporting cross-platform more.
