How do you feel about performers interacting with their audience during shows?

I’ve noticed more artists engaging directly with their fans during concerts, whether it’s through crowd banter, calls for participation, or even spontaneous interactions. Personally, I think it adds an extra layer of connection and excitement to the experience. But I’ve also heard some people say it distracts from the music or feels forced. What’s your take? Do you enjoy when performers engage with the audience, or do you prefer they stick strictly to the performance?
