killamch89
With the rise of digital-only releases, players no longer have the option to resell or trade games, which has been a key benefit of physical ownership. Should digital platforms offer more lenient refund policies to compensate for this loss? Given that many digital games are locked behind non-transferable licenses, is it fair to have stricter refund policies, or should there be a balance to protect consumers in the absence of physical copies? killamch89
Digital-only releases should definitely have more lenient refund policies. Without the option to resell or trade, players are essentially locked into a purchase, making it even more important that they have a safety net in case the game doesn't live up to expectations. The lack of physical ownership makes the refund process even more crucial, as the game can't be returned or passed on.
