killamch89
I’ve been wondering if anyone here has used an external GPU (eGPU) with their PC handheld (like the Steam Deck, GPD Win, or similar). I know it can give a nice performance boost, but is it worth the extra cost and setup hassle? How did it affect your gaming experience? Would love to hear your thoughts or any recommendations on how to get the best out of pairing an eGPU with a handheld PC.
Scorpion
I've used an eGPU with my Steam Deck, and it was worth it! The performance boost was amazing, but setup took some time.
killamch89
I decided to experiment with an external GPU for my handheld PC, and it was an interesting journey bridging portable and desktop-level performance. Although I encountered some compatibility and heat management issues, the graphical enhancements were noticeable, especially in newer, more demanding games. This venture shows promise for portable gaming enthusiasts looking to maximize performance without sacrificing mobility. Has anyone else successfully navigated these challenges?
