killamch89
It seems like PlayStation is leaning heavily into first-person shooters lately, but there's a noticeable lack of third-person shooter options. As someone who enjoys a more cinematic, over-the-shoulder perspective, I'm curious how others feel about this shift. Are third-person shooters on PlayStation fading into the background, or do you think this trend will change? What games would you love to see make a comeback or be developed in this genre? Scorpion Posted yesterday at 06:50 AM Share Posted yesterday at 06:50 AM I believe third-person shooters still have potential! A revival of classics like "Max Payne" or new IPs with strong narratives could invigorate the genre.
killamch89
I definitely miss the days when PlayStation had iconic third-person shooters like SOCOM or even Uncharted. Those games really emphasized storytelling with that cinematic perspective. I hope studios start seeing the demand for more third-person shooters again - maybe even reviving old franchises or experimenting with new IPs in this style.
