While it dominates in the U.S., its global reach seems smaller compared to football (soccer) or Olympic events. Considering that the entire planet has a soccer team from every country, nothing is bigger than. Soccer is no where near as popular here as it is for the rest of the planet. For example, no championship game has a halftime show like the Super Bowl has. Not too many celebrities go to the World Series or Stanley Cup the way they do the Super Bowl. I mean I am even of the opinion that it is the biggest in the USA. The World Cup is simply the biggest event in the world right now and that is truth as far as I am concerned.
