Kane99
The ESA (Entertainment Software Association has recently come out against the idea of tariffs being pushed on imports from China, Mexico and Canada. I heard some of those countries, like Canada who has worked in a deal with the US to increase their border security. Anyway, this is not meant to be a political discussion, but more on the idea of what tariffs could do to the gaming industry and us gamers. With that all being said, tariffs could cause a rise in prices for video games, not only that, but consoles, and all the parts that go into them could be affected by these tariffs. The US citizens will be stuck paying the increased prices. Of course, things could change from now and into the next few years. Maybe these tariffs won't go through and things will just go back to normal. Or it could end up being where just about everything goes up in prices. And we all know the gaming industry will increase those prices to make up for the costs. You can read more on what the ESA had to say in their statement in the article below. https://rushdownradio.net/the-esa-speaks-out-on-impending-tariffs-how-they-could-reshape-the-video-game-industry/
Scorpion
Tariffs could definitely hurt gamers by raising prices on consoles and games. If costs increase, it might become harder for many to enjoy gaming. Let's hope things stabilize soon!
The Blackangel
Every game that isn’t made here in the states will most likely be completely unavailable to us in this shithole. I don’t know how it will affect those of you from other countries, but a $50 game will probably end up costing us at least $100. Adolf’s tariffs are doing more damage to us than most realize. The stupid bastard doesn’t even know what a fucking tariff is. But that’s not even his biggest concern. The most pressing issue in America today is changing the name of the fucking Gulf Of MEXICO to the Gulf Of America. Everything else takes a backseat. Inflation, national security, crime, all of it. Nowhere near as important as the goddamn name of water. I won’t be at all surprised if he tries the name of the Pacific and Atlantic to his own name. We would have Adolf 1 and Adolf 2. Even though that wasn’t the intent, I moved this topic as it’s discussion is directly about a political issue.
