I do consider reviews and ratings as a starting point in my decision-making process. However, I also watch gameplay videos and read in-depth articles to form a holistic view of the game, since opinions can be subjective.

As I mentioned in my other posts, reviews are really important to consider when buying a game. Let someone else make the mistake and don’t repeat theirs. I generally go with the majority as some negative reviews don’t reflect the game.
