Kane99
This is really cool. I guess modders have found a way to recompile Xbox 360 games and make them playable as native PC ports. They started with Sonic Unleashed with a version called Unleashed Recompiled. And before anyone says this sounds illegal, you still need to own the actual disc copy of the game in order to play the recompiled version of the game as none of the assets are included with the recompiled version. This is probably a good means of stopping piracy. But I do wonder if Microsoft or Sega will come down on them for this. But since you have to own the game before doing anything, you may be fine. Shagger
Let's face it, even if it was not these modders' intention, it's only a matter of time until somebody makes a version of this mod that will work with downloadable roms. I wouldn't be shocked that it could work with downloadable Ron's right now if they are in the correct format, such as an ISO. Regardless, this is great stuff. Great for game preservation as a lot of publishers/developers who made 360's have gone under since then. I don't see Microsoft wasting thier time taking issue with this, but I do see some publishers (Such as, I'm afraid to say, Sega) not liking this. Scorpion
This is an impressive development! It's great to see modders pushing boundaries while respecting copyright laws by requiring the original disc. I hope Microsoft and Sega recognize the effort and potential benefits rather than just focusing on enforcement. Exciting times for gamers!
