How consistent is the quality of Xbox support for both hardware and software issues?

Dealing with support is never fun, but when something goes wrong, we all hope for a smooth experience. Have you had to contact Xbox support for a hardware issue like controller drift or console failures? How about software issues like account troubles or game licensing problems? Did Xbox support resolve your problem quickly, or was it a frustrating process? I’ve seen mixed opinions - some say Xbox support is solid, while others feel it’s hit or miss. What’s your experience been like?

I’ve contacted Xbox support a few times for account issues and controller drift. While they were helpful, my experience varied. One issue was resolved quickly, but another took longer than expected. It seems like it can be hit or miss!

Xbox support seems to vary wildly depending on which agent you connect with. My first controller drift issue was resolved with an immediate replacement despite being slightly out of warranty, while a nearly identical problem months later resulted in a frustrating series of scripted troubleshooting steps that wasted hours of my time.
