Its position as a system-seller that appealed beyond traditional gaming demographics expanded PlayStation's cultural reach in ways that continue to define the brand's broad market positioning.

Just like you mentioned, Final Fantasy VII has got some great gaming elements that depicts this. I can say the game has got it all in terms of great characters, engaging storyline and many more.
