How do you enjoy games, if they get boring?

When games start to feel boring, what strategies do you use to reignite your interest? Do you change the way you play, try new challenges, or involve friends to create a fresh experience? Additionally, what types of games do you find most engaging, and how do they keep your attention?

Modding breathes new life into boring games for me. After finishing Fallout 4's vanilla content, I installed 50+ mods that transformed everything from combat mechanics to environmental storytelling. It's essentially getting a free expansion crafted by passionate community members.

I've never thought about using this as a means to handle some games that bored me, but this is surely an example of a game that we can say got better after adding some mods to it.

The easiest way that I enjoy video games if they get boring is too simply take a break. When I mean take a break, if that means not playing for a few weeks so be it. I’d rather come back with a fresh mind as titles get boring due to how repetitive they can become.

When games become boring to me, I make sure that I will find ways on how to make things spicy. That would involve changing my playstyle or even taking a break. I also enjoy playing with friends because the thrill of competition never gets boring.
