Kane99 Posted March 31 Share Posted March 31 It looks like the IP rights to StarCraft could be sold off by Blizzard and Microsoft. Why Microsoft would want to get rid of StarCraft is beyond me, considering how popular of a franchise it was and still is. Now it seems that four studios, all in South Korea, are in a bidding war to secure the classic franchise. Those being; NCSoft, Nexon, Netmarble, and Krafton. But why would MS and Bizzard want to get rid of such an important IP? Is this just Microsoft's way of recouping some costs?
