DylanC
Rumors are the next gen will be a little more expensive than PS4/XB1. What specs do you expect to see? I imagine there’ll be at least 16gb of gddr5 RAM, a beasty AMD GPU and a decent CPU. 4K blu ray and 60 fps/1080p will finally be standard, too. What you guys reckon? Demon_skeith
Honestly the current specs are fine, they just need to up the ram and back everything with a SSD to increase load times. Naturally that isn't cheap. DylanC
Joant73
All that sounds about right, I also hope standard HDD space is larger, I had to upgrade mine for PS4. Something in the 2TB range would be nice. DylanC

Bilita
Anyone planning on getting a new laptop or hardware this year? The graphics cards that have come out recently are really impressive
Lens
Personally, I think the current specs are very solid, but there can be a boost in RAM and addition of new storage will make a big difference too.
HowHammerYou
Since it's now 2024 and we'd be talking 10th gen, I'd expect a more advanced Ryzen-series processor, 32GB RAM, and at minimum a 2TB SSD. A 4TB SSD would be more in line with what the console would actually need, but at least 2TB would be mandatory as I'd expect the typical install size of a game to surpass 100GB by then, especially if they try to push 8K. JennyorAlice
I'm looking forward to the Switch 2 or whatever the next gen console will be from Nintendo. I'm not sure how they will be able to build on the current Switch or what they can do better. Better graphics maybe but other than that, I'm not sure how you could improve upon that specific console. It is both a home console and a handheld at the same time.
Lens
The Switch is is very tough, but I'm very sure Nintendo will find a way to innovate and surprise us in this one. Maybe they'll focus on improving the battery life and adding more storage.
Button
In all sincerity, I do hope that the next gen will have 16gb of GDDR6 RAM and a CPU that can actually easily handle all the multitasking that we gamers love to do.
Scorpion
I’m expecting next-gen consoles to have faster SSDs, better ray tracing, improved AI, and 4K resolution with higher frame rates.
