While some titles showcase pets as vital companions offering unique abilities or narrative depth, others feature them as mere collectibles. killamch89 Posted April 12 Share Posted April 12 I don't think they're overrated when implemented well. A pet that actually helps in combat, finds hidden items, or solves puzzles adds genuine value. The problem is when they're just cosmetic or, worse, require management without providing meaningful benefits. Fallout 4's Dogmeat strikes that perfect balance.
