Jerlene
Would you put online jobs that you've had on your real life resume? I've worked many jobs online, good ones, but never wanted to put it on my resume because they were remote jobs. I didn't think they would be taken seriously. What do you guys think? Do or would you do it?
o-o
Yes, why not? If it was a job and in some way you did something, you should add it.
Jerlene
Well, a lot of "jobs" online are freelance. I guess I could just create a "Freelance" section near my "Skills" section and list relevant microjobs I did.
DC
"Online jobs" and "freelancing" are real jobs and should be added to your resume.
Jerlene
Interesting. I was a hiring manager and honestly I wouldn't give someone the time of day if all they had was freelance experience. I would probably just laugh at the resume and move onto the next one. If it was mixed with other experience I would continue reading though.
Alyxx
I completely think online jobs should be added to your resume, since they could still give you relevant skills when applying for a position somewhere. DC
killamch89
I mean you can add them to your resume but it also depends on the employer considering it legitimate work experience in the relevant field. Especially if the company isn't really well known, they may tend to forgo it.
Alexander.
Yes, if was a job and you were getting paid a wage for it, you should add it. I've added all of my previous work online to my CV in search of a job. The real term for online jobs is known as freelancing and employers accept this on your resume. mont86
I would ad it to my resume. As long it was relevant to the work I was applying for, or showed my work history...

But what if your online activity is doing surveys, do you still put it as freelancing?
Bilita
It would depend on the skills of those online jobs / freelancer jobs. Are they relevant, high-skilled jobs?

It's fine if you've done some kind of online job and want to put it on your resume. However, you'll be perceived far better by the recruitment staff if the skills you utilized in your online job is relevant to the position you're applying for.
