I am happy with the debit card because I can only spend my own money - I can't go beyond my limits. It prevents me from racking up any debt. I also think that phone wallet makes you spend more. So if we consider those options. Each month you have to focus on the budget based sites. I do track my spending but I also allocate money to certain important needs such as rent, food and bills way ahead of time. Everything else is a luxury to me.
