StaceyPowers
I have yet to have the experience of virtual reality. Those I’ve talked to or read reviews from invariably either say it is downright amazing or that it is too strange/disconcerting to really “translate” a lot of games into enjoyable experiences in VR. If you have used VR and were not totally satisfied by the experience, what would you change about it or the games you have played to make it more enjoyable? DarthHazard
The problem for me with virtual reality is the headaches. I don't know if this is normal or if it's because we went for one of those novelty and cheap-ish headsets that you put your phone in, but I got a headache after using it even if it was only for a few minutes. There's no way that I can use or enjoy virtual reality, which has been ruined for me because of this. I've seen a lot of good games with VR as well especially first-person shooters so it is quite annoying that I may never be able to fully enjoy it. DylanC
I was very impressed with VR, however, it's very taxing on your brain--moreso than traditional gaming experiences--and this can lead to tiredness and headaches. Add to this, the extra weight on your head for prolonged periods, it gets a bit uncomfortable. Plus, it's not great when you've got lots of friends around. It's not as social as traditional gaming. That all being said, it's an interesting piece of tech that I look forward to seeing evolve. I'm sure it'll be home to some amazing gaming experiences, though. Resident Evil 7 and Thumper, for example, are amazing experiences in VR--arguably more impressive than its traditional counterparts.
Alexander.
I'd like to change the health effects, personally. Seizures Nausea Headaches, Tiredness and dizziness I'd like to find a way through research to remove all of the negative health effects of Virtual Reality. We all have been there; a video game is never enjoyable when you have a headache or even worse, a migraine. If a headache is heavy or badly designed it can create tension on the neck which leads to motion sickness(headaches etc). Whenever the gamer encourters motion within the VR World that does not accurately communicate to their own bodily movements, it can defintely cause these negative side effects. Katri Marcell
I don't really support VR in any of its forms. Gaming for me is about entertainment and an escape from reality but within boundaries. Virtual Reality in my opinion not only crosses the boundaries but also causes health issues so, i would like no changes to it and I would wish it doesn't evolve into something huge 😄
Perezca
I'm with you guys, health issues for sure. I've only played VR twice and the first time was great. The second time was an at event trying Fallout 4 VR and I immediately ran to the bathroom and threw up. I felt sick the rest of the day. That was a year ago and I haven't touched VR since. So, that and also cords. I'm ready for all VR headsets to be cords-free so I can move freely.
killamch89
To be honest, I haven't really tried VR gaming myself either and for some strange reason, not really interested - especially in this early phase of its development. On the other hand, I do have a VR set for my cell phone so I can watch content *cough*porn*cough* 🤣 (p.s. I was kidding about the last part lol)
Alyxx
To me, VR will always be an amazing concept to explore, and we are getting closer to realizing it but I think at the moment it WILL still be delegated to being too gimmicky to really be useful as a way of playing most games. It is pretty hilarious to see people walking into walls though lol. VR is really dangerous especially with overreactive people because they may very well do something stupid like dive onto a thin glass table and hurt themselves badly.
