Alexander.
Do you stay away from Apps that have advertising in? I don't, aslong as it's not intrusive, excessive which effects the game play. You don't know until you install it how bad the advertisements are going to be. If ads are appearing everywhere, I'll uninstall it straight away. Edited December 14, 2018 by xXInfectedXx
DarthHazard
I try to stay away from them. I don't mind developers trying to get revenue for their app especially if it available for free but there are so many better ways than placing ads on your game. They just become so intrusive because most developers end up just putting ads anywhere there is space and interrupting the game to have ads displayed. Of the games I have played with ads, only one has done it in a good way that didn't bother me.
UleTheVee
They suck. Plain and simple.
killamch89
Games with ads need to be banned to the part of the internet nobody uses. They shouldn't exist - what is even the point if they keep advertising random stuff I have zero interest in? I mean, if it's for advertising stuff in the app I am unaware of, I get it but otherwise why?

At the end of the day, it's a free application and your not paying for the service your receiving. Besides the point, Adblock works well in Google Chrome to block intrusive advertising in videos on platforms like YouTube however I haven't found a plugin/mod that works on Android the same way. What's the best way to avoid mobile games with Advertising, is the best idea just to stay clear of free applications and only invest in paid games? Well, there is Adguard which kind of works the same way but I don't remember how much the software costs. As a general rule, if I see the app constantly spamming advertisements and it is about random stuff I have no interest in - I stay clear of it. How do you mainly game, PC, Console, or another handheld device? What advice would you give to overcome advertising in games?
DarthHazard
It's pretty easy to avoid games with advertisements on the mobile platform, to be fair. Just avoid those cheaply made games by developers that are available for free. Make sure to check the reviews for the game, usually there's always one person complaining if they have advertisements on the game lol. I'm not sure I can even think of any extremely good games that have advertising pop-ups in their game.

I have come across a few in a few paid games but they were for deals relating to items in that specific game and I have no issues with that. It also didn't appear all the time so it wasn't annoying or intrusive.
DarthHazard
I know that Clash Royale does something like that but it's not that annoying. As you said, I honestly don't mind if they advertise in-game items or promotions. But if a paid game starts to include external advertisements, that sounds like it's time for a refund. On mobile, I tend to avoid premium games with micro-transactions anyway. I don't see any reason for the need to charge me to buy the game and for items in game. I agree and especially when the advertisements are like every second. You not sure if you are playing a mobile game or an extended advertisement. Darth Maul
If there's porn ads or something of the like, hell no. Uninstalling right away. But I don't mind ads if it's a free game because someone has to pay development costs and there might not be in-app purchases.
DarthHazard
Honestly, if there were porn advertisements, I would uninstall it straight away as well. But honestly, I don't think any free games on the Play Store or App Store have any porn advertisements on them. I just think it would be a turn off for a lot of people so the developers would be risking a lot by placing porn ads on them.
