StaceyPowers
What games have combat systems which irritate you? This could be for any reason--maybe they are overly simplistic, ridiculously convoluted, or just downright unintuitive.
kingpotato
Xenoblades Chronicle, very good story and graphics for a Wii game (that's the version I have) but in the 20 hours I played it I had a hard time understanding the battle system. Alyxx
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey may have the worst combat system I've ever had the displeasure of playing.
CruiserX
Have you guys ever played Kingdom Come: Deliverance? The first player style combat system in this game is just bloody awful to my eyes.
Katri Marcell
For me it was Resident Evil 4. I've never played a game of the franchise so I wasn't used to it. Needless to say I never finished it hahaahah
killamch89
The early Resident Evil game mechanics were so annoying because of the freaking fixed camera. Seriously, your shooting at a zombie one minute and boom! the next minute you're aiming at God knows what. I am glad they learned the error of their ways and made the camera free-moving. Oh yes, as much as as the game had very good puzzles and good scares, the "Tank" like movement was very awful.

The part that really threw me for a loop was how the fixed camera would be at such an inconvenient angle that you basically had to adjust the whole character's body to get off a proper shot. DylanC
In hindsight, the game Anima Gate of Memories has pretty clunky combat. Also Risen 3 has clunky, unintuitive combat, too. Bad combat can really sink a game, for sure.
