His past actions, while exceptionally stupid, don't make him part of some kind of anti-muslim killing crew. The shooter just shouted out something he either had no idea what it meant, or that he had a personal thing against PewDiePie and wanted to cause problems for him. I mean, people are programming themselves for it all the time! Of course, though, I live in Tennessee, however. This is a red state - a hot bed of conservative politics.
