Alexander.
Hi all, I'm going to need some help today. I'm looking for a website which is safe to download from and I have plenty of money and memory on my computer in order for me to do it. What websites would you recommend for me to buy digital video games from?
Martin Berisford
I'd always recommend either going via the Steam store for your games. Or as an alternative, and to make the money go further, head of to cdkey's, buy your game code there and then take that over to Steam to 'authorise' your game. That way you're saving money, getting the game(s) you want but also the added benefit of the Steam software! I would not touch the EPIC software, yuck. skyfire
Steam store has both free and paid games. I have learned that there are also small sized games that you can use. In case of the free arcade games you can make use of the freedos games website.
killamch89
Steam, InstantGaming, Gog, CDkeys and SCDkeys are the main websites I purchase my games from. CDkeys always has fantastic deals on games so you should definitely start there.
skyfire
There are many other freeware games websites too. I get most of the freeware from the itch website. They seem to have many such simple yet worth to download type of games. I'd say you should check them out too.

For instance, you'll never see pirate an EA game because quite frankly it is a waste of time. I did torrent a few games as a kid when I didn't know any better. Aerielle del Rosario
I use steam and don't worry I pay for my games but when it comes to obsolete games, It's kinda hard to find :'( so my friend uses skidrow and I just play it on my friend's computer. So that's how I learn about it and I know it is piracy (not encouraging it) yet suggested in case you want to look for a rare game that you don't know and just look for legal websites to pay or to play it :D yeah I also didn't know any better ;)
skyfire
Steam and Itch. Those two sources for the indie and the mainstream games. Humble bundle used to be a good source of new indie games but now it has gone pure commercial. And less towards the help for charity. So there. skyfire
Yes emulators definitely helps out with the games which we often don't find online for purchase. And in such case downloading from some sources where they do sell such can be a good option.

I think in past it was fine to do all of that. But these days the price of the games have came down over the years. So it's not worth it.
