StaceyPowers
In games which contain other mini-games inside them, how much time do you typically spend playing them? I have to confess that I seem to spend about a quarter of the time I’m in RDR playing poker and liar’s dice.
kingpotato
Yeah I also spent a lot of time on poker on RDR. Back in the days of the ps2 my friends and I used to gather to play pool in GTA San Andreas.
skyfire
I remember age of empires had some mini levels inside which were tangent to the stories. And it was fun playing those tangent storylines in the game. Overall it was fun to play those sort of games.
The Blackangel
I always like playing Triple Triad in FF8. It's an easy and fun way to get items you need for upgrading your weapons and items you need in general.
StaceyPowers
@kingpotato Lol, that's great. @skyfire Like side quests, or like totally different activities from what you usually do in the game?
DylanC
There was an awesome MP Snake mini game in Timesplitters 2 back on PS2 which my friends and I spent *hours* playing. Probably spent more time playing that than a lot of full-fledged games, lol. Edited April 10, 2019 by DylanC
killamch89
I used to go to the casino and in San Andreas and play the gambling minigames. San Andreas had many minigames which aided the development of your character like the gym ones.

Some can be related to the game. Like say side characters quests. Or say the side characters story which connects with some campaign in the game. Like the age of mythology side quests.
