JennyorAlice
Do you do all your gaming on a PC or a laptop? Why do you prefer that one over the other? How much did you spend on that PC or laptop? What kind of specs does it have?
Yarik
I always have been playing video games on a desktop PC. It's cheaper, more powerful and easier to upgrade in the future. I also don't like the small monitors that laptops have and the keyboard that they have. I also don't travel so I don't find the portable abilities of the laptop useful for me. Alexander.
Laptop, why? I'm always on the go to either: resturants, work, college. It's highly portable, convenient and I can use my Acer Laptop almost anywhere. Specifications: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8300H CPU @ 2.30GHz Installed RAM (8.00GB and 7.85GB useable). Jayson
Based on what I read, gaming laptops are catching up to desktops in all areas - though desktops are clearly better and probably will remain so. Therefore, a laptop could be a good idea for some people - depending on how advanced you want things. So, just for fun, can anyone name these advancements in laptops? The video cards are nearly with the same performance as the desktop ones. But the processors aren't that powerful as they should be for that price. And in almost all cases with these video cards, the battery is dying within a hour or two when gaming on battery.
Jerlene
I've always used a laptop. It much more portable. The one is use is a i7 that was made for gaming. It's the new HP. It works like magic. Edited November 23, 2018 by Jerlene
Joshua Farrell
For everything I need to play, Desktops seem to run the games better. I have had issues in the past with Laptops running smoothly after running games for any extended periods of time above 2 hours.
DylanC
Desktop predominately, though I do some light gaming on my macook air (mostly FTL).
o-o
No doubt, it should be PC.
Alyxx
Desktop. For gaming on the go I prefer handhelds.
italianmunchiez
PC although I've never really played games on a laptop before.
Joshua Farrell
Honestly? I would rather run games on a desktop, over anything else. Desktops generally from past experience are less sluggish when responding to intensive games, than laptops are. If I were to play just basic games, Laptops would be fine for me. UleTheVee
Desktop, no doubt. Laptops can technically be used as both Desktop and portable gaming but they are way too bulky / valuable to be taken out in the open. If you want portable gaming on the go, stick to a Switch / handheld.
killamch89
I have a powerful desktop for gaming but my gaming laptop is mainly for animation and video editing as those are my sources of income. A desktop is your best bet for proper gaming but a laptop is a decent option if you can't afford to build a machine or travel a lot.
